Meteors devastated the Earth. World Governments developed plans to help surviving citizens. The United States disbanded and salvageable land was divided into our quadrants—North, South, East, and West—governed by The Remnant Council.

Struggling to survive, seventeen-year-old Ava ends up in juvenile detention, until she is selected for a new life—with a catch. She must be injected with an experimental serum. The results will be life changing. The serum will make her “better.” To receive the serum, Ava agrees to join a program controlled by ISAN, the International Sensory Assassin Network.

While on a mission, she is abducted by a rebel group led by Rhett and told that not only does she have a history with him, but her entire past is a lie perpetuated by ISAN to ensure her compliance. Unsure of who to trust, Ava must decide if her strangely familiar and handsome captor is her enemy or her savior—and time is running out.

I really enjoy Mary’s books and this one is no different.  I think you may have seen on the site the review for Sexiest Man Alive and Sexiest Couple Alive. I admit that I am not still recovered from the sexiness of the cover of Sexiest Man Alive, but I digress we are here to look into ISAN.

This is an interesting one, it brought back to mind a little of The Omen Operation of The Isolation Series, and I loved it very much.

I did feel like it started a bit slow, but it picked up rather quickly and once we got a bit of action I was hooked.  We get to meet Ava and her team who have been brought in from Juvie/Foster Care etc.. into the secret organization ISAN.

They are teenagers and they are killers!

A frightening thought all together!

Things take an unexpected turn when our girl Ava starts getting messages from someone called Sniper and here is where I stop sharing the good stuff.

Come on you know that I do not overshare, otherwise I would easily handing over spoilers and where would we be?

One thing I will share is that I really did like Sniper a lot!

Truth be told there are a lot of fascinating characters and the one I have yet to crack is Russ, he is somewhat Ava’s supervisor and there is something about him.

I have a theory, that I will not be running by you, but once you read the book I am open for debate! So do not hesitate to bug me, so that I can share…

ISAN really have a good flow and pace, some good fight action sequences (we all know I am all about those babies) and a few outlier characters such as Mitch that I nee to decide if I hate him or not, right now I am on the dislike scale…

I really enjoyed ISAN, there are a lot of emotions flying high on top of the cool fights I mentioned before. I can tell you right now that this is going to be a series, because the ending left everything wide open and I have more than a dozen questions needed to be answered.

I have been a fan of Mary for a long time, and as usual she does not disappoint, I hope book 2 will be coming soon and I am so looking forward to it.

The question will be how many books will be in the series? 3 or 4? Now we wait and see.

So, as you can imagine I am going to be very highly recommending ISAN to you all, and I hope you love it as much as I did!
