Kasia Amon is a master at hiding. Who—and what—she is makes her a mark for the entire supernatural world. Especially dragon shifters. To them, she’s treasure to be taken and claimed. A golden ticket to their highest throne. But she can’t stop bursting into flames, and there’s a sexy dragon shifter in town hunting for her…

As a rogue dragon, Brand Astarot has spent his life in the dark, shunned by his own kind, concealing his true identity. Only his dangerous reputation ensures his survival. Delivering a phoenix to the feared Blood King will bring him one step closer to the revenge he’s waited centuries to take. No way is he letting the feisty beauty get away.

But when Kasia sparks a white-hot need in him that’s impossible to ignore, Brand begins to form a new plan: claim her for himself…and take back his birthright.

This was a fun book.

Dragons are not particularly my thing, I think we can count on one hands the numbers of books I have reviewed on my blog about dragon shifters, but I have to say that I should have started with this baby for sure.

Just to let you know that this is the beginning of a series, and based from what I have seen it is going to follow 4 sisters starting here with the oldest Kasia.

Here we focus on Kasia and Brand, their meeting and what follows next.  I had a good time, and I did enjoy that it was quite action packed and good dose of romance.  For me, it was the perfect level and I was so stocked!

I finished it all in one go, and I am looking forward to book 2 for sure, as I am sure that the events started in The Rogue King will likely follow in the next books as well.

I am not going too much into details because I am worried that once I start talking about this and that, I would be spilling important spoilers and well…

I think that Abigail did a great job establishing the characters, their history and motives. It is very clear and I found that Brand and Kasia were very relatable for mythical creatures when you think about it.

It is an easy read, I loved the writing style and pace, and to be fair, I was disappointed when I hit the last page.

Now that has to tell you something!

So I am going to highly recommend The Rogue King, and if you are a fan or paranormal novels; then you are going to be a happy chappy like I was. I do hope we will not have to wait long for the next one as I expect it to be quite explosive considering who will be the focus!

If you want to know what I just spoke about, then you gotta read this baby!

I do hope you love it as much as I did!
